Strawberry Mountain Bundles by Knit for the Soul with Spincycle Yarns & Shalimar Yarns
Strawberry Mountain is a quick and easy cowl by Knit for the Soul, with simple striping and colorwork that looks impressive but is really just slipped stitches and uses only one color per row!
Bright Blue Base – Midsommar with Breathless in Billie’s Blues
Cool Blue Base – Midsommar with Breathless in Lagoon
Purple Base – Midsommar with Breathless in Concord Grape
Pattern not included, find it on Ravelry.
Important: The base included is not the sample as Kay’s samples, so will not create an exact replica as the pictured Strawberry Mountain Cowl. Spincycle’s Dyed in the Wool varies from skein to skein so please allow for variation in saturation.
Choose between easy stockinette all the way or try working the contrast color in garter stitch (knit on both sides, which is even easier!) and watch the texture truly pop out on the colorwork.
Strawberry Mountain is worked on the bias from one end to the other, starting with just 6 stitches, and is only slightly asymmetrical. The I-Cord edges are worked as you go so there’s no finishing to do and the bind-off is also I-Cord.
The superior fit of the cowl is due to the angled edges at the back neck. The angles are then seamed or you can optionally add loops and buttons for additional versatility in wearing.
