All Highland Handmades yarns are produced by Heather Monroe-Kinnie in the Highlands of Maine. Heather’s colourways are inspired by the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains and the North Maine Woods, which surround her home and studio. The fibers and yarns are dyed using Maine-produced dyes and are dried in the cool mountain air for much of the year.
Highland Handmades are exclusive to Fig Tree Yarns in the British Isles and as Heather is such a creative dyer, always on the lookout for new inspiration, many of the skeins are one-off combinations.
