1: Product descriptions
All the information on our website is accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, we supply artisan product and we cannot guarantee that all product descriptions are current and error free. We will correct errors as soon as they are brought to our attention. Colour names and swatches are for your convenience only and, as there are variations in the way computer screens display colours, the colour that you see may not match the actual colour of the yarn. If you are really unhappy with your yarn, you may return it (see below) but we do not accept returns of any items that are discontinued or on sale.
2: Our delivery service
We use national postal services for our deliveries and, provided the goods are in stock, we will normally despatch your order within 2 working days. If for some reason we cannot despatch promptly, we will e-mail you.
As most of our orders are posted from Jersey in the British Isles, our parcels have to clear customs before continuing onto their destination, so we cannot guarantee the same speed of parcel arrival as mainland UK. Please allow for longer shipping time if ordering for a particular date in mind. If you have any concerns, please get in touch and we will be happy to provide further information.
Tracking numbers for international orders may be assigned to your parcel before reaching the post office. If tracking information does not appear straight away, please allow at least one working day for your parcel to be registered by the post office.

3: Payment security
We use PayPal to ensure security for you and we abide by PayPal’s terms and conditions. You may pay by cheque or bank transfer if you prefer. Your order is accepted once payment is received and will be despatched when payment is cleared. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email.
The prices on our website are inclusive of sales tax.
5: Goods that are out of stock
If we do not have enough stock to complete your order, we will email or phone you to advise. You may wish to have your items back-ordered at that point, take part delivery or cancel the order. Please note that it can take up to six weeks to re-stock from some of our US suppliers.
6: Cancellation or returns
If you wish to cancel your order any time before we despatch it, please contact us by telephone or e-mail.
If you are unhappy with your order, you must contact us in writing (email is fine) within seven days. If you are returning goods they must be unopened and in a fully re-saleable condition and you must include a copy of the original receipt, your name, e-mail address, phone number and delivery address.
All goods for return must be sent by tracked mail and insured for the full value of the contents.

Please note we cannot refund sales tax on the goods or the original shipping cost and you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods.
We will do a PayPal refund (minus postage and sales tax) which will show up in your PayPal account.
7: Cancellation by us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered or we cannot deliver to your area.
If we do cancel your order, we will notify you by email and will re-credit to your PayPal account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
We will never pass on any of your details to a third party and will contact you only in relation to the specific purchase that you are making. If you choose to subscribe to our news e-mails you will receive periodic e-mails about new products and special offers. You may unsubscribe to these at any time.
9: Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These term and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jersey and both parties agree to this in relation to any claim, dispute or difference which may arise on any transaction with Fig Tree Yarns.
In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the meanings given in this section:“Contract” means either (a) the set of web pages completed by the customer, which provide details of goods required, customer delivery address, payment card details, etc, and which incorporate the terms and conditions set out herein, and is concluded by us despatching the goods to you, or (b) if the order is taken on the telephone, the contract is concluded by us despatching the goods to you.“’Goods” means any goods and/or material supplied by us to you and available for sale on this website or from our Jersey studio and store.
“Fig Tree Yarns” means Imogen S Nicholls trading as Fig Tree Yarns from the address: Le Picachon, Les Varines, St Saviour, Jersey JE2 7SB.
“’Rights” means all copyright, design rights (whether registered or unregistered), patents, rights in trade marks (whether registered or unregistered), database rights or other intellectual property rights in this website and the goods, for the full term of those rights, worldwide.
“You” means the person, firm or company placing the order in the terms set out herein.

Please note that customs and duty charges may be charged by your country of residence. Any such charges are at the buyer’s expense.
We track all international orders and will advise you of your tracking details. Postal tracking may not be available in your country.
We cannot replace for free your lost or undelivered package.
Please note that for large, heavy orders, we reserve the right to charge higher rates than the basic charges above. These will be agreed with you by e-mail before despatch.
