Hat and Peak by Maxim Cyr is a cosy head warmer inspired by his sweater design, Hide and Peak! With a geometric pattern and topped with a fluffy pom pom, this is a fab hat pattern to get stuck into for breezy season.

Like it’s sweater sister, this hat is knitted in Recollect by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers. We have put together original & curated bundles using our sole UK & Europe stock of this wonderful base!

SIZES: 1 (2, 3) | Circumference: 19¼ (21½, 24)” / 49 (55, 61) cm
The sizes roughly correspond to Child (Adult Small, Adult Large). Choose a size that allows for 0 to 2 inches (0 to 5 cm) of negative ease around the head.

YARN:
❖ Yarn A (charcoal): 130 (145, 160) yd / 120 (133, 146) m / 1 skein of Recollect
❖ Yarn B (grey): 45 (50, 55) yd / 41 (46, 50) m / 1 skein of Recollect
❖ Yarn C (pink): 63 (70, 77) yd / 58 (64, 71) m / 1 skein of Recollect
❖ Yarn D (yellow): 50 (55, 60) yd / 46 (50, 55) m / 1 skein of Recollect

NEEDLES: Circular needles, 16 in (40 cm), in two sizes:
❖ US 5 / 3.75 mm or size needed to obtain gauge
❖ US 3 / 3.25 mm or two sizes smaller than main needles
A set of double-pointed needles or longer circular needles in the same size as the main needles can be used for the crown shaping

GAUGE
❖ 20 sts and 30 rnds = 4 in (10 cm) in stockinette stitch in the round, blocked
❖ 20 sts and 25 rnds = 4 in (10 cm) in stranded colourwork in the round, blocked

NOTIONS: Stitch markers (6), a tapestry needle and a pompom maker
