Hill Country Rain Wrap Bundles by Boyland Knitworks with The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers

The Hill Country Wrap by Caitlin Hunter of Boyland Knitworks was originally designed for the 2020 Knitting in the Hills retreat hosted by Hill Country Weavers. Despite this having to be moved to virtual classes, this was still successful event with the beautiful knit in Soka’pii by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers!

We don’t currently have Caitlin’s original choice for C1: Chinook Winds, so we have offered Mr. Pocket as an alternative. Mr. Pocket is ever so slightly lighter than Chinook Winds.

In this bundle:

C1: 1 skein of Mr. Pocket (grey)
C2: 1 skein of Dumplin’ (pink)
C3: 1 skein of Napi (cream)
C4: 1 skein of I’ve Got Dreams to Remember (navy)

Pattern not included, view it on Ravelry.

Hill Country Rain is a rectangle wrap knit in 2 pieces, strarting from the outside edges and working toward the center, where the two halves are joined with a 3-needle bind off. A variety of different stitch patterns and color changes keep this knit fun while still being an unstressful, relaxing knit. The finished wrap is perfect for keeping the hill country rain off your shoulders on chilly spring evenings. The name of this wrap was inspired by the classic Jerry Jeff Walker song- one of my favorites. I used one of my all-time favorite yarns for this piece, The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Soka’pii- a rustic fingering weight singles yarn. – Caitlin Hunter
