Spincycle Yarns – Dyed in the Wool

Rachel and Kate, the founders of Spincycle Yarns, are the creative minds behind Dyed in the Wool. They started as hand-spinners and dyers before expanding into a nearby mill in Bellingham, Washington. Then, in 2017, they took the next big step and purchased the mill themselves.

By combining the character and texture of handspun yarn with the consistency and efficiency of mill spinning, they created something truly unique. Better still, it means these beautiful yarns reach our needles a little sooner!

Because the fibre is dyed before it is spun and plied, colours blend, separate, and reappear throughout the yarn. As a result, each skein creates long, dramatic colour transitions and one-of-a-kind combinations. No two skeins are exactly alike.

Think of every skein as its own colour palette. The colourways are less a set formula and more a journey, creating a beautifully balanced overall effect. However, when planning projects that require multiple skeins, it’s worth embracing the natural variation that makes this yarn so special.

Please note: Colourways can vary significantly from skein to skein, so product images should be viewed as a guide rather than an exact match. We will do our best to select coordinating skeins when multiple quantities of the same colourway are ordered together, but exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
