In addition to Appalachian Baby Design’s blanket and hat kits, they also created this adorable owl stuffed toy kit to create for your little ones.

The Great Horned Owl, an iconic bird of the old growth forests, is transformed into a soft companion for a child. This design was created by the talented knit Chris de Longpre.

Using their chunky weight U.S. Organic Cotton and some knitting tricks – primarily the Magic Loop method of knitting in the round, our kit contains enough yarn to knit twin owls!

Kit contains 115 yd/105m bulky weight U.S. Organic Cotton and 6 yds/5.5 m 3/2 gold cotton (for the eyes), packaged in an organza gift bag with the pattern.

Gauge is 24 sts/18 rows=4″.  A US 8/5.0 mm 32″ circular needles and set of 4 DPNs are required.
