The Sensation of Only Having Eaten Half a Biscuit

You know it’s out there. You feel deeply unsatisfied and slightly lost as you try to remember where you left it.
.
I feel this way about a lot of things. WIPs, it goes without saying. Especially the ones you can’t find and you have a nasty feeling you might have left somewhere. The bus maybe.
.
When you run a business, or in my case two, holidays are like that. You know you have had one but then you sort of haven’t because you had to work on the laptop for several hours a day but then when you get home, you haven’t done enough work to have actually kept the whole show on the road.
  .
So you have half a holiday. A half eaten holiday. Back home and everyone asks ‘how was your holiday’ and you smile because they can’t understand how it was and then a business owner asks ‘how was your holiday’ and you smile because they do.

But hey! It was hot. We were on the coast. We spent time with the loveliest of relations from all over the world. We went where few people ever go. We experienced things that few people ever experience.
  .
Hell, we didn’t meet any Jersey people in Guyana and I got some significant hours to plan myself some new knitting projects and do some knitting on the 24 hour journey home.
  .
That has to mean it was a holiday, right?
