The Sideline Wrap, is Brienne Moddy’s spring 2024 pattern!  A flair-for-your-hair and head dreamed up by Side Eye Witness (Rachel from Spincycle) and inspired by the addictive Fogline Stitch pattern. Brienne designed this versatile wrap for knitters who love to have a project in their hands while they spectate, therefore it’s the perfect companion for any event that floats your boat!

HOW TO WRAP IT:

Take an end in each hand and hold the wrap against the bottom of your head in a ‘U’ shape. Overlap the ends and twist. Arrange each side so that the RS is facing out and secure in the back, using your button.

Yarn:

• Color A: 1 Skein The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Soka’pii (Fingering weight, 100% Non-Superwash Wool, 248 yards / 227 meters per 50 g)
• Color B: 1 Skein of Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool (Sport weight,100% Superwash American Wool, 200 yards / 183 meters)

or

• Approximately 248 yards/227 meters of Fingering Weight Yarn for Color A and
• Approximately 200 yards / 183 meters of Sport Weight Yarn for Color B.

These yarn amounts are estimates. So any changes that knitters make to gauge, substituting yarns or changing the wrap’s measurements will change the amount of yarn needed.

Gauge: 232 stitches and 49 rows = 4” / 10 cm in the Basket Stitch Pattern worked flat.

Sizing: One size

Needles: 3.25mm / US 3 circular needles 16″/40cm length
