The Mackworth Sweater by Drea Renee Knits was originally a personal project she created for herself, and we’re so excited she publicised this pattern for us to try too!

Knitted in Ritual Dyes yarn Maven, a gorgeous rustic feeling 2-ply. We are currently the only stockists of this yarn this side of the world! We created bundles Andrea’s original colourway with varying sizes.

FINISHED BUST CIRCUMFERENCE: 34 (38, 42, 46, 50)(54, 58, 62, 66)”
Recommended ease is 2 – 6”/5 – 15 cm; sample is shown in Size 2 on a 34”/86.5 cm bust with 4”/10 cm of positive ease.

Ritual Dyes Maven (265 yds/50 g)
MC – 5 (6, 7, 7, 8)(9, 10, 10, 11) skeins Bone (grey)
A – 1 skein Clay (coral)
B – 1 skein Heartwood (dark purple)
C – 1 skein Quartzite (light purple)

SUGGESTED NEEDLES:
Main Fabric: US 5/3.75 mm –24”/60 cm to 40”/100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs)
Ribbing: US 3/3.25 mm – 16”/40 cm circular for collar, 32”/80 cm for hem and preferred needles for small circumference knitting for cuffs, plus a spare for the Tubular Bind Off.
(Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge. The ribbing needle should be 2 US sizes smaller than the Main Fabric needle.)

GAUGE:
24 sts & 36.5 rows = 4”/10 cm on larger needles.
Measured over stockinette stitch in the round after blocking. Take care during the colorwork yoke – some knitters knit colorwork tighter and may need to go up a needle size for that portion of the sweater.
