The Melancholia Sweater by Zanete Knits is inspired by the name of the blue Spincycle Dream State colourway it features, with emotive colourwork you can make your own. It combines Dream State for the asymmetric colourwork with marled and cosy Trine for a long-lasting and reliable knit.

We love the blue-on-blue vibe of Zanete’s sample, so we have echoed a mono-tonal feel with our curated bundle selection.

Designed to be worn with 10-23.5 cm / 4-9¼″ positive ease around the bust, to fit busts with circumference:

• 70-80 (80-90, 90-100, 100-110, 110-120, 120-130, 130-140, 140-150) cm
• 28-32 (32-36, 36-40, 40-44, 44-48, 48-52, 52-56, 56-60)″

Yarn:

• MC: 815 (870, 940, 1020, 1110, 1190, 1280, 1365) yds of Spincycle Yarns Trine (100% fine non-superwash wool; 150 yds), colourway No.98
• CC: 280 (315, 350, 390, 440, 470, 520, 560) yds of Spincycle Yarns Dream State (100% superwash American wool; 150 yds), colourway Melancholia

Gauge: 18 sts & 26 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in Stockinette stitch and colourwork in the round, blocked.

Suggested needles:

• 4.5 mm (US 7) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40″
• 4.0 mm (US 6) circulars 60-100 cm / 24-40″ and/or double-pointed needles for small circumference knitting

Notions: Stitch markers, locking stitch markers, row counter, stitch holder, tapestry needle.

Techniques used: Tubular cast-on, trapping floats, short rows, tubular bind-off, backwards loop cast-on.

Notes: The pullover is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down.
