Maiden is Ritual Dyes’ 2-ply twist fingering-weight blend of superwash merino and nylon.

Merino wool is known for its softness, shine and breathability. It ranges in different types, measured by microns which are used to determine the diameter of the wool fibre. The smaller the number, the finer the fibre. Merino is a durable and naturally insulating fibre.

This merino is superwash which keeps the fibres from felting and takes dye easily creating saturated, vibrant colours. Ritual Dyes enjoys creating new colours on this base first! The addition of nylon gives the superwash merino more elasticity and durability, making it a great option for socks. It also a favourite for shawls and colourwork sweaters.
